Description
Starter: you can move in straight away! This former 2, but now 1-room flat is located on the raised ground floor of the flat ‘Haeswijk’ with a spacious balcony facing West, equipped with a sunshade.
In the basement is the corresponding personal modest storage room, a very spacious heated and enclosed bicycle storage room and a general-purpose laundry room in which a washing and drying machine with coins is available. The underbuild is accessible internally by both the stairwell and the lift and has its own entrance doors.
The building stands on the waterfront next to the bridge to the Haaswijk district and has a parking space at the rear and further public parking. The location is within walking distance of the Lange Voort shopping centre with 2 supermarkets and a variety of retail; even the library. Across the Oegstgeesterkanaal is another smaller shopping area with also a supermarket (Lidl) and pharmacy. There is a bus stop in front of the building, allowing direct travel to Leiden Central Station. This flat is also very conveniently located for the exit to the A44 motorway. The beach is at cycling distance.
Ground floor
Layout: stairs lead to the front with letterboxes and doorbells. There is also a disabled access ramp, which is used daily. On weekdays, the front door is unlocked during the day in connection with the rental of the common areas. However, the galleries leading to the flats are always locked. A covered gallery leads to the front door.
Layout:
Entrance to hallway, with access to all rooms: the kitchen, bathroom and living room. The kitchen is on the front door side, the gallery side and was completely renovated in 2024 with electric hob, oven, dishwasher, spacious countertop and a remarkable amount of storage space. The kitchen is large enough to accommodate a table and chairs.
The bathroom next door also dates from 2024 and has a bathtub, in which to shower. The shower is separated from the bathroom with a glass wall. There is a hanging toilet and, opposite, a washbasin with a modern, high sink and a large mirror above it. The tiles are partly marble tiles and partly glazed tiles. Everything is clean and neatly finished.
The living room is currently a through lounge, as the wall between the living room and the bedroom has been removed. This can easily be put back in place, as although the door to the bedroom has been closed, the rebate is still in the wall. The inner door is stalled in its own storage room.
The living room is bright and spacious, finished with laminate parquet and has a door to a spacious balcony (W), which is located at the front of the flat and overlooks the garden at the front and the street beyond.
Finally: flat Haeswijk has a very active VvE; with even weekly consultation hours. Being a former service flat, it has its own property in the form of a community room (former dining room), guest rooms (2) and some practice rooms. Those spaces are rented out. As a resident, you can rent the very large community room in the evenings or on weekends for a small fee and then also use the pantry, crockery, dishwasher and toilets. Guest rooms with private bathrooms are also available for residents to rent, which is a godsend for the smaller flats in particular.
There is also a garden committee and a group of residents who look after the garden.
